I am a child of the 1980's, a time when MTV was actually cool among other things. One thing I do remember as a child were all of the cool PSA announcements on television. Myself, like just about every other child from that era, watched Pee Wee's Playhouse. We all remember the PSA with Pee Wee Herman telling you that smoking crack is bad!

There were many others, like Smokey the bear telling you that "only you can prevent forest fires". There was also the infamous "This is your brain on drugs" PSA with the cracked egg. Who can forget Stranger Danger? McGruff the Crime Dog telling you to take a bite out of crime! Even C-3PO from Star Wars telling kids that smoking cigarettes is bad for you.
