Parks Cracklin’ Cookoff Rescheduled for Labor Day Weekend

Now that we have entered Phase Two of reopening the state of Louisiana, some things are making a comeback. And, dare we say, possibly even making a return to normal. So many fairs, festivals, live music events, and concerts have just made the decision to skip 2020 altogether, and reschedule their events for next year. So whenever we see a fun local event that is making a go of it this year, we are excited.

The annual Parks Cracklin' Cookoff, which is normally held the weekend after Easter, has rescheduled their event to Labor Day weekend this year. They made the announcement earlier this week on their Facebook page, along with info for sponsors and vendors. "For all Sponsors who have submitted Sponsorship Forms and money, we want you to know your money and level of Sponsorship will remain valid for our new festival dates. For all people and businesses who have purchased Raffle Tickets, we ask that you hold on to your ticket or tickets until our new Festival Date as well."

The cookoff is held at Cecile Rousseau Poche' Memorial Park, and has live music all weekend, great food, the Kajun Iron Horse Poker Run, and lots of arts and crafts booths.
