Opelousas City Court Has Long Standing Domestic Battery Case Against Brandon Scott Lavergne
The laundry list of the legal woes of Brandon Scott Lavergne continues to grow. Lavergne was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Mickey Shunick, and the old charges have been coming out of the woodwork ever since. First came his indictment in the death of Lisa Pate. Now, word comes from St. Landry parish District Attorney Earl Taylor that a 12 year old outstanding warrant against Lavergne has surfaced.
According to the warrant, Lavergne is wanted for domestic battery stemming from an incident with his ex-wife. In February of 2000, Lavergne allegedly showed up while she was working and began arguing with her about some of the specifics of their divorce. According to her, he struck her in the face, choked her and pushed her to the ground.
According to KATC TV3, "the Opelousas Deputy Clerk of Court saying Lavergne's ex-wife will have her day in court."
