Noel En Broussard Christmas Festivities
The Broussard Chamber of Commerce hosted its Inaugural "Noel en Broussard" at the Broussard Community Center, which featured the lighting of the tree.
Hosted by Jeremy Hidalgo, chamber president, the event included a duo singing live Christmas music, hot chocolate, snacks and, finally the lighting of the Broussard Christmas Tree.
Noel en Broussard is a series of Christmas events that all residents of Acadiana can enjoy:
- The Dessert Challenge
- The Dessert Challenge is a competition between a few Broussard Chamber member restaurants who have created or altered a dessert specifically for this competition. The challenge runs through December 14th, during which time the public will be able to vote on their favorite. Visit the chamber's website for specific details. The restaurants participating include:

- Broussard Christmas Parade
- The parade rolls on December 11, beginning at 1pm. Visit the chamber site for the parade route and more information.
- Pictures with Santa
- Take family portraits with Santa at the Broussard Community Center on December 17th. For only $10, you can have a keepsake from Christmas 2016! Pre-register on the Chamber's website.
- Letters to Santa
- Bring your letters to Santa and drop them into the huge mailbox under the gazebo at Broussard City Hall. be certain to bring your camera to get a photo of your family sending the letters and share the photo on the Broussard Chamber Facebook page!
