An extremely rare test pressing of the classic Nirvana album ‘In Utero’ just sold for big bucks on eBay. One of only three known copies, the test pressing sold for $1,250 after 11 bids – starting from a mere $99.

‘In Utero’ was Nirvana’s last full-length album before the passing of frontman Kurt Cobain, whose posthumous 45th birthday we recently noted with a ‘Favorite Nirvana Song’ Readers Poll. Released in 1993, the album contains gems such as ‘All Apologies,’ ‘Rape Me’ and the immortal ‘Heart-Shaped Box.’

The seller described the super-rare vinyl test pressing as, “In mint top near mint condition, probably played once at most to check the fidelity, and comes from an industry collection.”
