New Lafayette Police Chief Has To Address Officer Shooting Deer at Shooting Range
On one of his first days on the job, the new Chief of Police for the Lafayette Police Department is having to address what an officer allegedly did while out at the shooting range.
KLFY-TV 10 reports that Chief Thomas Glover is having to address a report that a Lafayette Police officer shot a deer that wandered onto the property of a shooting range.
The officer reportedly shot the deer, cleaned it, then shared the meat with other officers at the range.
That particular incident is currently under investigation, according to the new Chief of Police.
Chief Glover comes to Lafayette from the Dallas Police Department and he officially started his new position in Lafayette on New Years Day.
We would like to welcome Chief Glover to Lafayette and we can't wait to see what he does for our community.
