‘My Lafayette’ Contest – Show Your Creative Side Through Video And Tell People Why They Should Visit Lafayette

Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission and AOC Community Media have set up a contest called 'My Lafayette.' Everyone with a computer can put together a video nowadays. Even if you don't have the means, there is a way! So, show your creative side and tell people, through video, why they should visit Lafayette. Info about the contest can be found after the jump!

"My Lafayette video contest entries should creatively highlight the Lafayette or Acadiana area as a prime tourism destination. "Your video can be funny, quirky, serious, emotional or maybe it's just visually stunning," said Gerald Breaux, executive director of LCVC. "As long as it's about Lafayette and inspires people to travel to our beautiful city, you could be a winner. Videos cannot exceed more than three minutes in length."

If you don't have the equipment necessary to make this video, but have the creative idea, you can join AOC for only $25 a year and have access to a whole lot of equipment!

And just so you know you're not doing it 'just cuz,' there's cash money to be won! First place gets $1,000. Second place gets $700. And third place gets $300.

You have until May 9th to get your submissions in.Voting is from May 11-31, and the winners will be announced June 13th.
