Hollywood South is alive and well in 2018! Tom Hanks will be filming a movie in Louisiana this year, as will the Gambit movie, and many more.

Gambit

Sony Pictures/Marvel Sony Pictures/MarvelChanning Tatum has been attached to star in this X-Men spinoff for quite some time. the character is from New Orleans, so it makes sense that they would film there. The budget for the film was slated for $155 million back in 2015. So, a big chunk of that is bound to be spent here in Louisiana.
NCIS: New Orleans (Season 4)

As far as budget, season three's budget was $96 million, with $40.3 million of that going to in-state payroll. You can expect around the same for season four.

Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson are set to star in the film. For those who aren't aware, Bonnie and Clyde were killed in Louisiana. So, once again it makes sense that at least part of this movie would be filmed in Louisiana. An estimated $34.8 million of the budget will be spent in Louisiana.
Preacher (Season 3)

An estimated $50 million of season three's budget will be spent in Louisiana.

The movie will star Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali. It has been shooting since November and is scheduled to wrap on January 26th. It is estimated that $20.5 million of the film's budget will be spent in Louisiana.

In Sean Penn's first television series, the Hulu show will be based in the near future and will follow the first manned mission to Mars.
The series has been filming since October and is expected to last through March, with a release date sometime this year. $39.1 million of the series budget is expected to be spent in Louisiana.
