Mercedes-Benz Superdome Prepares For New Lighting

The Merecdes-Benz Superdome is a going through ch-ch-ch-changes! Big renovations have been happening for "The Dome" inside and out. The Superdome will debut a new lighting system this week. The fancy new LED lighting system, illuminating the outside of the building will be unviled in a free-to-the-public lighting ceremony to showcase the capabilities of the $1.6 million permanent system that will be set to a musical soundtrack. The ceremony is at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Champions Square. Dome officials say the lights will be used nightly, and have multiple colours, and even display the Mercedes logo.
