The Louisiana State Police along with the U.S. Marshals are currently assisting the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office in looking for, Brian Keith Soileau, a jail escapee who robbed a bank this morning and is currently on the loose. More info after the jump.

On October 13, 2011, 42-year-old Brian Keith Soileau escaped from the Pine Prairie Detention Center. Soileau was doing state time for aggravated burglary and other pending charges.

On October 25, 2011, at 9:18 a.m., it is believed that Soileau robbed the Guaranty Bank in Vidrine, LA. Law enforcement officers from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police Troops D, E, and I, the Louisiana State Police Air Support Unit, and the U.S. Marshals are conducting an intensive manhunt for Soileau.

Soileau is believed to be driving a tan Chevrolet or GMC pickup, possibly a step side, with a flat tan cover over the bed of the truck. He was last seen traveling west on LA 10 from LA 13. His current location is unknown.

Soileau is believed to be armed and dangerous. If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Dial 911 and notify your nearest law enforcement agency. Cell phone callers may contact State Police directly by dialing *LSP (*577).
