Louisiana Police Issue Warning About Entergy Scam

While this police warning came from Thibodeaux, Louisiana, we want to warn you in case it migrates here. A scammer is claiming to be from Entergy and getting people to pay them.

The way it works is someone calls claiming to be with Entergy and tells the customer their power is about to be turned off because they owe payments. The caller then tries to get the customer to pay over the phone or through the mail.

 

If someone does call you about this, DO NOT PAY THEM. Call Entergy immediately if you do get a call like this. Their number is 1-800-368-3749.
