According to reports, three parents at Donnie Bickham Middle School just North of Shreveport were arrested after their display of physical and verbal hostility towards the school's Principal. Authorities say that the entire ordeal was over a late school bus.

The Caddo Sheriff's Office responded to the call from the middle school principal that was involved after the situation escalated to a point where outside authorities were needed.

It all started when two parents, Karen Christensen and Melissa Holman, allegedly yelled out curse words at the principal as to complain about the late school bus. The principal attempted to explain to the parents that she was not in control of the bus driver's schedule and that she would contact the transportation department.

As the cursing continued, the principal attempted to leave in by getting in their car. While attempting to leave another parent, Jeffery McClain, and Holman blocked the vehicle and began banging on the window while attempting to force it open. This is when the principal called the Caddo Sheriff's Office for assistance.

All three parents involved in the incident were arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. They were charged with unlawful disruption of the operation of a school bus.

While there isn't any video of the incident, it is hard to really know how things transpired. But, I do know that yelling at a school principal over a late school bus doesn't make any sense. That is like yelling at a waitress for a restaurant not having any more desserts. It is completely out of the principal's control, yet these parents decided to berate the principal over the issue.

Cursing and complaining is one thing, but to go as far as blocking in the principal's car and attempting to open the window is a whole other level of craziness. What concerns me the most is that there were most likely children around watching this display by grown adults.

It worries me that people like this are out there raising our youth. There is a right and wrong way to handle issues, but this way certainly the wrong way. I'm sure these parents will reconsider their actions while sitting in jail.
