I came across this article last night written by a guy by the name of Brett Anderson, who says that Louisiana has lost it's infamous 'boot' shape due to the erosion of our coastal wetlands.

He did research by looking at Google Maps of the state and seeing what was 'walkable' land and what was 'uninhabitable' land. As you probably already know, a pretty big portion of our coast is uninhabitable, which means you can't live on it. It's water, not actual land.
