Local Coffee Shop is Expanding to Maurice

Another business is expanding into the Maurice area and this news is pretty exciting.

Classic Cup Brew Bar & Eatery is expanding into the Maurice area. This local business was founded in 2011 in Abbeville and has been a bit hit since day one.

The new Maurice location will be located at 8218 Maurice Avenue, right next door to Hebert’s Speciality Meats.

Cherie Leblanc, the owner, and creator of Classic Cup Brew Bar & Eatery told Developing Lafayette that she created this business in response to something her daughter said to her. Cherie’s daughter had expressed that she felt that she did not have a purpose in life, so Cherie set out to find a way for her daughter could find her purpose in life. Unfortunately, for a 16-year-old girl, there aren’t many business options out there. So Cherie decided to create a business that could give teenagers a way to gain responsibility and purpose.

“The purpose of Classic Cup Brew Bar & Eatery is to give kids a chance at a job that would not only build their self-worth but also would help them prepare for life outside of high school,” says LeBlanc.

In fact, Cherie doesn’t even have a key to the business. She wants to ensure that the “young” employees are given trust and empowerment when running the business.

The Maurice location of Classic Cup Brew Bar & Eatery has agreed to partner with the owners of Hebert’s Speciality Meats along with The Cupcakery and will serve their delicious goodies.

You will see the same tasty treats on their menu as the location in Abbeville but this Maurice location will be larger with a drive-thru option.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year or early 2023.
