Limp Bizkit Singer Fred Durst Performs Karaoke Version Of ‘Nookie’ [Video]
Remember the simple days when we did it all for the nookie, the nookie, so you can take this cookie and stick it up your… Oops, sorry, we got ahead of ourselves there and drifted away on memory.
There was, in fact, a time when rock music was dominated by rap metal produced by the Fred Durst-fronted Limp Bizkit and the band’s little ode to gettin’ some known as ‘Nookie’ owned the airwaves before the millennium. It was a monster hit in 1999 that no doubt remains a karaoke fave in watering holes and dives across this great land of ours, especially for Durst himself.
Fast-forward to the present, and Durst was caught performing a karaoke verison of his own song on Monday night (Feb. 6) in Los Angeles. Showing that he does have a sense of humor, Durst also appears to get a beatbox assist from DJ Lethal. Call it the impromptu ‘Nookie’ remix.
TMZ reports that Durst was joined at Rock & Reilly’s by ‘Reno 911′ stars Nick Swardson and Cedric Yarbrough.
Durst didn’t just cover his own song. He tackled other tunes, including Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy.’
