Leukemia Patient Benefit May 10

On May 10 there will be a benefit held at the Cankton Village Park for Eddie Paul Bearb, diagnosed in November with Leukemia.

The mission of the event is to provide short-term monetary support to the Bearb family to help defray medical costs and support Eddie Paul and his family in “Fighting the Fight”.

The day will start with a 5K run/walk at 8:30.  Registration will be held from 7-8 and is $30 to register.

The Rally Ride for motorcycles and jeeps that will take off at 9:30. Registration for that will be held from 8-9, $20 Driver/$5 passenger early registration and day of event $25 Driver/ $10 Passenger.

Live music provided by Louisiana Proud Artist: Clay Cormier, Curley Taylor,  Marc Broussard and One Trick Pony and Geno Delafose.

The rice and gravy cook-off kicks off at 10.  Registration for that event is from 8-10 and is $50 per team.

There also will be a live and silent auction, 50/50 raffle, kids activities, sweet shop and more.
