A Lake Charles mother is taking to social media to track down the person she says hit her son on his bike in Lake Charles over the weekend.

Rene Fontenot says a local establishment had security footage of the hit-and-run incident that left her son "broken and bloody" around 1 a.m. early Saturday morning. Fontenot says her son, Ty, got separated from his group while riding bikes when a white Volvo hit him on Ryan Street.

** WARNING: The photos of Ty's injuries included in Fontenot's Facebook post are very graphic. **

Since her original post that has been shared over 3,000 times, Fontenot commented with an update but still needs help tracking down the person who hit her son.

Update: we have a physical description and gender of the driver. Getting full numbers of temp tag. Also narrowing down make and model of White Volvo. ALL BEFORE WE ATTAIN VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AND LCPD HIT AND RUN DIV ARE SENT OUT Better turn yourself in before law enforcement comes.... but, either will work for me. #thankyouGod

If you have any information that can help Fontenot track down the person who is responsible for the hit-and-run on her son please contact Lake Charles Police.
