Lafayette’s First Medical Marijuana Clinic Opens October 1st
Total Health Clinic is inviting the public to their grand opening on Monday, October 1st.
Founded by Dr. Chad and Isabella Rossitter, Total Health Clinic will be Lafayette's first medical marijuana health clinic. The public is invited starting at 5pm where there will be drinks and hors-d’oeuvres. The clinic will be open at 610 Guilbeau Road.
“I’ve lost family members to the opioid crisis,” said Dr. Chad Rossitter. “There is a real need out there for people to get help. Lots of addictions happen because people are in pain. This is a safe, legal way for people to get help for lots of conditions and I want people to know they don’t have to suffer. Some alternatives are not addictive like opioids and help just as much if not more.”
There are 14 conditions Louisiana recognizes as approved for treatment with medical marijuana, some of which include cancer, glaucoma, Parkinson’s disease, seizures, and PTSD. It is sold in the form of pills, tinctures, and oromucosal sprays.
