Lafayette Named Best In Three Categories
AAA Southern Traveler magazine has named Lafayette as the best of the south in THREE different categories!
The three categories that Lafayette took for Best of include Best Small Town in Louisiana, Best Getaway in the South, and Tastiest Town!
The magazine holds an annual poll that lets readers choose their best of. The competing states are Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
The Daily Advertiser broke down other places that readers liked in the South:
According to the article in the July/August issue, readers also liked Natchitoches and Breaux Bridge for best small town in Louisiana. In the categories of Best Getaway in the South and Tastiest Town, readers also liked New Orleans and Biloxi, Miss. Don's Seafood Hut in Lafayette won for Best Gumbo in Louisiana. Readers also liked the gumbo at Prejean's and Chris' PoBoys.
