Lafayette Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Acadia Parish
21-year-old Brent Allen Miller of Lafayette is now dead after his motorcycle crashed with a Chevy Suburban at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 95 and General Lane in Acadia Parish.
Louisiana State Police spokesman Trooper Thomas Gossen says the incident happened shortly after 1:00 p.m. when Miller - who was riding south on La. 95 - crashed with the northbound Suburban that turned left onto General Lane in front of Miller. That caused Miller's motorcycle to strike the Suburban.
The Suburban was driven by 28-year-old Meredith Breaux of Rayne, who was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Miller was pronounced dead at a local hospital. He was wearing a DOT approved helmet.
Troopers will continue to investigate the crash. Impairment is not suspected.
