Lafayette High Teacher Arrested And Charged With Indecent Behavior

KATC is reporting that Lafayette High teacher Katie Champagne was arrested and charged with six counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. You always hear about these kinda things in the news, but obviously this one hits a lot closer to home. 

"An investigation started on Nov. 15 after Lafayette police received a complaint from a 14-year-old girl. "The allegations indicated that the teacher had grabbed the breast and slapped the buttocks of the victim."

Others were brought in for statements as well:

"Six victims, under the age of 17, were identified and provided statements to police that the suspect had engaged in inappropriate touching of the students, Mouton said. Investigators reviewed video from the class where alleged inappropriate touching happened."
