Lafayette Consolidated Government is hosting a "Debris Drop" day this Saturday, March 16, 2019.

The "Debris Drop" is an opportunity for residents to dispose of items that are not normally picked up by curbside garbage collection contractors.

Brown  Park on Pont des Mouton and the Robicheaux Center on Eraste Landry are the locations that will be accepting items like appliances, tires, wood, metal, home construction debris, bicycles, and other residential waste. Hazardous items like chemicals, fluids, ammunition, explosives, gas-powered equipment and the like will NOT be accepted at the "Debris Drop" locations.

The locations will be accepting the debris beginning at 8 am until noon, and participants must be residents of the City of Lafayette or unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish and must have proper ID.
