Job for A Cowboy Begin Composing New Music for 2014 Album
After coming off their stint on the 2013 Mayhem Festival, deathcore-turned-death metal act Job for a Cowboy have announced that they're beginning to compose their fourth full-length album.
Job for a Cowboy are perhaps the most notable pioneers of the modern deathcore movement. With the release of their 'Doom' EP in 2005, the Internet metal community exploded for the ultra-low pitched tracks 'Entombment of a Machine' and 'Knee Deep.' Despite the band's booming popularity, JFAC chose to abandon various deathcore characteristics which allowed them to stand out, most notably the 'pig squeal' vocal style, to instead march into death metal territory.
Job for a Cowboy's latest release, 'Demonocracy,' received critical praise after its release in 2012. Fully entrenched into the death metal genre, JFAC are ready to begin writing new material.
"Mayhem was absolutely phenomenal," says JFAC bassist Nick Schendzielos. "We want to send out a huge thanks - from the massive, rabidly energetic crowds every single day (despite the heat!), to John Reese and his amazing production staff, and to all the killer bands and crew we were fortunate enough to party/share the stage with. Now it's time to get knee deep in riff-land to start composing our next full length record which will be coming out in 2014. We have a really exciting concept for the record and we can't wait to share it with you guys! Til then, keep metal as an adjective!"
