What You Need To Know About The Cheese Recall In Louisiana
Authorities issued a warning urging consumers to immediately dispose of Raw Farm raw cheddar cheese with specific date codes.
This alert comes in response to a voluntary recall initiated by Raw Farm following concerns raised by the FDA regarding potential contamination with E. Coli bacteria.
The recall was initiated after the FDA and CDC flagged a potential link between Raw Farm raw cheddar cheese and a series of illnesses reported between October 18th, 2023, and January 31st, 2024.
The Affected Products Include:
- Raw Farm raw cheddar cheese blocks and shreds with batch codes older than 20231113-1 for blocks and older than 20240116 for shreds.
- These products were distributed in various package sizes under the Raw Farm brand.
What To Do If You Have One Of These Products:
Raw Farm is working closely with health authorities and is conducting the recall voluntarily as a precautionary measure. Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled products and to return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
