The community has been following this case closely in hopes of finding answers as to what the motive behind this tragedy could possibly be. At this time, the suspect, Chad Credeur, 42, of Duson, LA, is in custody in Jeff Davis Parish on unrelated charges.

There is still one piece of the puzzle missing that the victim's family and members of the community would like found. Brandon Touchet's dog is missing, and his family is pleading that she be returned safely.

The post has been shared close to 700 times in a desperate attempt to locate their son's beloved dog, Savage.

Please please help us find her. We love our animals like they are our children. Brandon would be devastated if we didn’t give everything we had to find her. PLEASE HELP US AND SHARE!!!!!
Several other community members have shared similar posts in local neighborhood groups, lost pet groups, and on their personal pages in hopes of finding Savage.
The community has continued to share photos of dogs found locally that look like her; however, they have not had a match yet. Hopefully, as word continues to spread across Acadiana, someone will be able to identify her and safely return Savage to Brandon's family.
