After talking to someone from out of town we realized that Louisiana has a tasty wedding tradition that is unique. It may be a Southern thing, but it is absolutely a Louisiana tradition. Anyone who attends a wedding reception expects there to be a wedding cake of some sort but here in Louisiana not only do we have a traditional wedding cake but we also have a groom's cake.

Did you say a groom's cake?

Yes, the groom actually has control over this one thing at his wedding, but nothing else. Just kidding, kind of. Since this is a cake dedicated to the groom it typically reflects their personality whether it be their favorite sports team, hobby, or food.

We asked to see a groom's cake from a wedding you attended or from your own wedding. Safe to say these grooms' cakes are as Louisiana as it gets.
