Interstate 10 And Other Road Closures Due To Ice

The Louisiana State Police and The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development have now closed I-10 in both the eastbound and westbound directions to the Atchafalaya Basin.

Interstate 49 is still open, so if you need to travel eastbound take Interstate 49 north to US Highway 190.

State Police say they will make every effort to keep as many roadways open as possible.

Due to freezing weather conditions, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that Interstate 10, between the I-10/I-49 junction and the Iberville Parish line, is closed immediately to traffic.

Traffic will be detoured via I-49 north to U.S. 190.

I 10 Both Directions from I 49 eastbound has all lanes blocked due to icing

East Baton Rouge Parish

East & Westbound has been reduced to two lanes between Range Ave to Oneal Lane

Central Throughway closure

Rapides Parish

The elevated portion of I-49 from US 71 exit on the south end to Rapides Staion R on the north end

DOTD closed the Boyce Bridge on La 8

West Baton Rouge Parish

Elevated portion of LA 10 closure from Aubudon Bridge through Pointe Coupee business district

West Feliciana Parish

John James Audubon Bridge (LA 10) closure
