Insider Tweets Peyton Manning Will Retire Today

An insider tweeted that he is hearing that Peyton Manning will not be returning to his beloved Indianapolis Colts, or to the NFL for that matter! Peyton Manning to retire today??

You may ask, "Who is this 'insider?'". Rob Lowe took to Twitter and said:

Now, firstly, yes. It is THAT Rob Lowe. The bad guy, Benjamin, from 'Wayne's World'. So, one could easily blow it off and say he's trying to start some rumor. But let's take a couple of things into account here as far as being an 'insider' is concerned. According to Ultimate Texans, Rob Lowe has been on the Colts sidelines a number of times courtesy of Peyton Manning himself.

Another little known tidbit is that Colts owner Jim Irsay's first person he followed on Twitter...Rob Lowe.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen quickly contacted Peyton's dad, and Saint legend Archie Manning. Got the scoop, and tweeted:

One person it seems that would know just a LITTLE bit better than Rob Lowe would be Archie, so I'm guessing that this isn't the truth just yet.
