A 17-year-old high school student from LaPlace was the subject of a beating by an undercover Jefferson Parish police officer. It happened around 10pm after a Mardi Gras parade on February 13th as deputies and some teenagers exchanged words.

Then 17-year-old Brady Becker allegedly resisted arrest and got into a scuffle with deputies, when the undercover officer, dressed in plain clothes, took Becker to the ground and proceeded to beat him in the face. Witnesses filmed the incident and uploaded it to YouTube, which you can see above (NSFW due to language and violence).

Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Col. John Fortunato said that Becker was arrested and then booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Facility with possession of alcohol by a minor, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and inciting to riot. He also sustained an eye injury which was treated.

About the video evidence of brutality, Fortunado said:

The matter has been brought to our attention, we encouraged the family to file a complaint with internal affairs. It will be investigated fully
