If you've ever had the itch to try out for a Broadway musical, now is your chance. Nikki Sixx's The Heroin Diaries is being turned into a musical, and you can try out to star as the Motley Crue and Sixx:A.M. bassist for it.

Sixx reposted the open call invitation on his Instagram from Broadway casting director Arnold Mungioli. The auditions take place today (Nov. 4) at Pearl Studios in New York City from noon until 5:45PM. Contestants are asked to "sing a rock song (no more than 32 bars in length" and to have a second song prepared as well.

"Bring sheet music in the correct key," the description continues. "Piano accompaniment will be provided. Please bring picture & resume, stapled together."

Potential actors should be caucasian men in their late 20s to mid or late 30s, "sexy and wildly charismatic. Self made, and serious about his music." As for vocal style, a "strong rock/pop tenor" is desired.

They are also looking for someone to play Frankie Feranna — young Sixx — and a "girl with the golden eyes." See Sixx's post of the casting call below.

The musical, directed by David Esbjornson, is expected to debut early next year. Based on his 2007 book, Sixx hopes the musical will continue to spread awareness of the opioid epidemic that is currently plaguing the U.S., similar to the way Rent did when AIDS broke out.
