There are a ton of great shows coming up at the Cajundome. From Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kidz Bop to the Backstreet Boys and Chris Stapleton, the schedule is full between now and the end of the year.

While most of these shows are reasonably priced, let's face it, going to all of them is a stretch for many of us.

But I've got a tip for you to save a few bucks when you do purchase tickets -- buy your tickets at the Cajundome box office.

I know we all love the convenience of purchasing tickets from the comfort of our own home. But with that convenience comes a price, and it's in the form of some of these fees attached to each ticket.

But a simple trip to the venue box office will save you quite a few bucks.

According to Casey White, Marketing Director for the Cajundome & Convention Center, customers will only pay a facility fee (usually $5.50) and a box office processing fee (3%) when purchasing tickets at the Cajundome box office.

"They skip the order, processing and convenience fees that Ticketmaster adds online. It can be an additional $20-$30 sometimes depending on the price of the ticket," White further explained to me.

I looked at tickets for one of the upcoming Cajundome shows to give you an example of how much money you could save.

The example below is if you bought two tickets on level 200 online through Ticketmaster for the Chris Young concert which is September 5.

Tickets: $35 x 2 = $70
Service Fee: $10.50 x 2 = $21.00
Facility Fee: $5.50 x 2 = $11.00
Order Processing Fee: $3.55
Total = $105.55

That's a total of $35.55 in fees.

Now we'll look at the same two tickets bought at the Cajundome box office.

Tickets: $35 x 2 = $70
Facility Fee: $5.50 x 2 = $11.00
Box Office Processing Fee (3%): $2.10
Total: $83.10

That's a total of $13.10 in fees.

So, by purchasing your tickets at the Cajundome box office, you would save a total of $22.45.

Keep in mind that some shows the fees are even more than that. This can be significant savings when purchasing several tickets!

There is one exception to these savings. VIP packages or platinum tickets (which a lot of artists offer) can only be bought on Ticketmaster.com.

But all in all, if you want to save some money, buy your tickets at the venue box office.
