Help Clear The Animal Shelters in Acadiana on October 22, 2020

Have you or the kids been wanting a pet? If so, today would be a great day to adopt a pet from a local animal shelter.

KLFY-TV is taking part in "Clear The Shelters" and they ask that you help give an animal a great home he or she deserves.

Many of the local shelters or rescue centers are at full capacity and it's time to give a dog or cat a "forever home."

If you would like to adopt a pet here are some of the shelters you can visit:

Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center

• Open: Adoptions and Donations — Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Haseya’s New Beginnings

• Address: 1321 Section Ave., Rayne LA 70578, (337) 372-2555 (Rayne) or (337) 962-6314 (Crowley)

Iberia Parish Animal Control

• Address: 2017 Seaway Access Rd., New Iberia, LA 70540

Vermilion Parish Rabies & Animal Control

• Address: 11303 Pioneer Rd., Kaplan, LA 70548
• Open: Mondays through Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
