We've all heard people sarcastically talk about meetings putting them to sleep. There's evidence that happens more than you might think. I make no bones about the fact that I absolutely abhor meetings. Falling asleep during meetings is actually commonplace, according to a report from qz.com. Afternoon meetings are the worst. a survey, conducted by Hilton hotels, indicates productivity drops off dramatically after 2 pm. Nearly half (40%) of respondents admitted falling asleep in a conference. It get worse off site. People's routines, and dietary habits are disrupted. Hotels make big money hosting conferences, so they want them to be productive. Exercise facilities have become commonplace. Coffee is an obvious staple. Speaking from experience, I think meetings are usually too long, and breaks should be more frequent. I'm guilty of having fallen asleep in a meeting.
