Hangover Remedies That Might Actually Work For Your New Years Debauchery
This New Years Eve, you may over do it a little with the drankin. I always search around and ask around for people's hangover cures, hoping to find common threads that may work. Today, I've stumbled across some hangover cures from our friends at guyism.com and have noticed a few that I feel might actually work.

Water
I know, we've all heard of this one, and there's a reason why. The majority of hangover symptoms are due to dehydration, so it’s essential to replace those fluids as quickly as possible. So, if you didn't drink water throughout the night as you were drinking, try some salt water in the morning. The salt (1/2 teaspoon per quart) will help your body absorb the water much more quickly and should have you feeling a little better pretty quick. Next time you go out drinking though, try and remember to slurp down 40 oz of water BEFORE you go to bed.

Food
You'll probably wake up wanting to eat everything in sight. Even though, you may be feeling too queezy to make that happen. You really need to though. Some of the best suggestions I've heard is toast to get your carbs back to normal, bananas to help replace your ailing potassium levels, and fruit to help replace the vitamins you zapped out of your body with your night of Jager Bombs.

Exercise
I know, the LAST thing you wanna do is a round of cardio, but it really will help. A few months ago, I awoke with a RAGING hangover. The only thing I wanted to do was "get it out". I forced myself to get on my treadmill for 30 minutes and grind it out. After that and a shower, I felt MUCH better.

PEDIALYTE
This is actually a lil tip I picked up from Kid Rock himself years ago. In his band rider, he requested 4 bottles of grape Pedialyte. I asked him why, and he said it works wonders for a hangover. For those of you who don't know, Pedialyte is primarily used for kids with diarrhea. It's packed with fast-acting electrolytes, it also has high levels of sodium and potassium. All of which you'll need to get feeling better. Pedialyte is not the tastiest of all drinks, but works much better and faster than a sports drink.

Midol
This is one I haven't heard of, but came across it on guyism.com. Makes perfect sense though if you think about it. Women take this for menstrual cramps, and from what I hear about those, the pain is WAY more painful than a hangover. Apparently it's way more effective than ibuprofen. Worth a shot, no pun intended...

Spicy Foods
This is another one that goes along the "get this bad the hell out of me" way of thinking. Good ole spicy food will help you to sweat it out. Besides, if it's hot enough, you'll forget all about that nagging hangover cause' your mouth will be a blazing inferno!
