Asparagus

A 2009 study says that the amino acids and minerals found in asparagus extract may alleviate alcohol hangover and protect liver cells against toxins. Unfortunately though, you would probably need an extract from the leaves instead the more commonly eaten shoots of asparagus. 

 

Cactus

A 2004 study showed that extract from a Prickly Pear Cactus can prevent hangovers! This is one that you would need to take it BEFORE you start drinking. Prickly pear cactus extract is available at some health-supplement stores.

 

Bacon
