Guns N’ Roses ‘Chineese Democracy’ Back On Charts
Best Buy has recently decided to try and unload some of the more than 1 million copies of "Chineese Democracy" they've had sittin around collecting dust. Best Buy has placed “Democracy” in its bargain bin recently, making the cd available for just $1.99, and the move is starting to pay off.
So far, the album has sold around 3,200 copies in the US in the week ending Sunday, April 3 — nearly three times the amount (1,200) sold the previous week! As a result, "Democracy" is sitting pretty at no. 198 on the Billboard Top 200.
As the exclusive U.S. retailer for “Chinese Democracy,” Best Buy reportedly paid $14 million for 1.6 million copies of the album; to date, it has sold just 614,000 copies in the U.S., based on Nielsen SoundScan reports.
Personally, I thought/think it's a pretty good album. What do you think?
