Mardi Gras parades have been rolling throughout the Gulf South this weekend and many of us in attendance would also identify ourselves as being fans of the New Orleans Saints football team.

I have to admit there have been more than a few Mardi Gras Krewes that have taken on the NFL as part of their carnival parodies this Mardi Gras season. The Krewe des Canailles walking parade in downtown Lafayette had more than a few satirical costumes aimed at the NFL and one of the hottest throws on the parade route this year has been what Saints Punter Thomas Morstead tweeted about on Sunday.

I think Morstead's one-word comment sums up what a lot of Saints fans are still feeling as a result of the recent NFC Championship game against the Rams.

Even though the rest of the world has gotten over the blown call that prevented the Saints from reaching the Super Bowl a lot of Saints fans are still holding on to a lot of animosity toward the NFL. And of course, the total botch job the referees made in the game. Call it bitter if you want, we'll just call it what it is, a great reason to make fun and let the good times roll during Mardi Gras.
