Getting To Meet One Of My Favorite Musicians…Sean Yseult Of White Zombie [Pics]

Just recently, I interviewed Sean Yseult, you know, the bass player chick in White Zombie! She is someone that I always wanted to meet, ever since I saw a picture of her in Hit Parader magazine when I was 12. Just a few days ago, I finally got the chance to meet her.

Her new band Star & Dagger played here in Lafayette at The Wild Salmon. The band consists of mostly chicks, and a couple dudes! It is almost a supergroup of sorts, featuring Yseult and members of Cycle Sluts From Hell, Queens Of The Stone Age and Eagles Of Death Metal. When Yseult described their singer Von Hesseling to me, she ended up reminding me of Cherie Currie of The Runaways.

Yseult lives in New Orleans and the band is based out of NOLA. She was real laid back and cool to talk to. I also got her to sign her book 'I'm In The Band' and a photo that Hal Moore of Jason And The Kruegers drew.
