We are a nation that likes to be spooked, and for some of us, Friday the 13th is the creepiest day of the year. Traditionally it brings bad luck, but some people actually consider it their lucky day! The origins of the bad luck vibe supposedly came from Christian tradition,and how 13 people attended the Last Supper.

  • Taylor Swift has a great connection to the #13, She was born on the 13th, turned 13 on the 13th, her first album went gold in 13 weeks. Also, her first #1 song had a 13 second intro. Boom!
  • The next time we'll see three Friday the 13th's in one year will be 2021
  • Celebrities born on Friday the 13th include Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Steve Buscemi, musician Max Weinberg and former Monkee Peter Tork.
  • According to NASA, on Friday the 13th, 2029, a large asteroid will fly close enough to the Earth to be visible without a telescope in Africa, Europe and Asia
  • If you have fear of Friday the 13th, that's called paraskevidekatriaphobics. If you fear just the number 13, it's triskaidekaphobia.
  • You can get married in Las Vegas on Friday the 13th at Viva Las Vegas Weddings with a zombie, vampire or "Rocky Horror" themed ceremony
