With new allegations coming forth, former Washington Parish special ed teacher Murray "Joey" Duncan now faces 'well over' 100 sex abuse charges.

Back in April, the 45 year old Duncan was arrested for possession of child pornography after an investigation that arose due to complaints of sexual abuse involving juveniles.

He was charged with having sexual contact with at least 7 juveniles. Another has stepped forward and accused Duncan of sexual abuse.

The child said that "Mr. Joey" kept him in class and let other students go to the gym.

"[Duncan] kept this one young man inside the classroom, he fondled him, molested him," said Chief Deputy Mike Haley with the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office.

While this is the only allegation to take place on school property (the others allegedly happened on church trips), the police think that there are more victims out there who haven't stepped forward.

"We suspect that there are more victims out there," Haley said. "The key is going to be whether those other victims do come forward, but typically in cases like this, when you take the number of cases that are reported, there are always many other cases that are not reported for one reason or the other."

Officials are encouraging parents who think that their child may have had contact with Duncan to contact the Sheriff's Department.

Duncan will be brought to Washington from East Baton Rouge Parish Prison to be booked on the new charges.

The reason he's in East Baton Rouge is because two of the incidents happened at the Baton Rouge zoo on a church field trip.
