Florida Man Claims He Got Shot By His Dog With An Unloaded Gun

A Florida man has told police that the gun shot wound he received on his leg was actually from his dog. Gregory Dale Lanier said in the police report that he was driving in his truck when his dog kicked his .380 pistol, which was on the floor of the truck and he claimed was unloaded.

Lanier told police that he heard a boom, saw smoke and felt a burning in his leg. He was also shocked to find out that the gun was loaded. The police report also said that the gun was actually a 9mm, not a .380.

His dog was not brought up on any criminal charges.
