Middle School Girl Steals $13,500 from Grandma, Hands out Cash to Classmates
You know the saying: steal from the rich, give to the poor. Stealing from your grandparent and giving it to people you don't know? Yeah, that's not going to work.
A 14-year-old girl is facing felony grand theft charges after she stole over $10,000 from her grandmother, and passed it out to her fellow classmates at school.
The girl went to school and handed out hundreds of dollars to fellow students before authorities were alerted and went to the school. Cops found around $2500 in her backpack.
Turns out, the girl stole the cash from her grandmother's safe -- which ended up being her grandparents' entire life savings, totaling around $13,500.
No word on what she did with the rest of the cash.
The girl faces a possible grand theft charge, which is a felony. No word on if the grandparents will go through with the charges.
The school has asked the students that received the money to return it.
Yeah, good luck with that.
