Face To Face Bus Transportation Help To Be Available
If your a parent of a Lafayette Parish school student, it probably seems like there a million things you need to do.
The fastest way to find out the information about your child's bus schedule if they go to school in Lafayette Parish is to log onto www.lpssonline.com/busstops but a face to face meeting is also not out of the question.
On Friday, August 4 and again on Monday, August 7, parents can go to the School Board's office on Chaplin Drive to meet face to face about bus routes if needed.
The face-to-face service is for people who are having difficulty navigating the e-Link system for some reason, or if the family does not have access to the internet.
Here are some tips if you have tried to use e-Link but can't get your child's route:
- Make sure your school has the most up to date address information for you (did you move and not notify your child's school of your new address?).
- If your child has never ridden the school bus before, there will be no information in the system, so you will need to call your child's school to inform them.
- School system officials suggest that if you already have your "parent portal" profile set up, then go into that to look for the most up to date information for your child's bus service.

On Friday and Monday school system officials will be available for a face to face meeting about transportation in the Federal Building's conference room at the School Board office at 113 Chaplin Drive off of Surrey Street near the airport.
Someone will be there between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to speak with parents.
If you can't find the information at the website, it is suggested that you follow the tips above, then wait 24-48 hours for the system to update. You can also call 521-RIDE after that time if the bus information is still not available.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
