Eunice Man Arrested For Dropping Cocaine At City Hall

Is it just me, or are the criminals really getting more lazy? I mean... you're going to city hall. Leave the coke at home. Wow!

According to KATC TV3, "A Eunice man was arrested for allegedly dropping a bag of cocaine on the floor of city hall.

Police say a citizen notified the Eunice Police Department that someone dropped an item in the city hall lobby.

According to police, the item was a yellow plastic bag containing a white powder, which tested positive for cocaine. Surveillance video was reviewed allegedly showing Cary Miller, 33, drop the cocaine.

Police say surveillance showed Miller place his hand in his pocket and remove an item placing it into his shoe. Police say he then entered the building when the object fell from his shoe to the floor. Miller went to the gas department to conduct business. Police say he walked over the item as he left the building without noticing.

The vehicle Miller was in was located on Hwy 190 West and searched according to police. A 45 caliber pistol was located in the vehicle and warrants were then obtained for the arrest of Cary Miller on several charges. On September 12, 2012 he was taken into custody and booked.

Miller was charged with Possession of Schedule 2 Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Violation of the Uniform CDS Law, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution.

Bond was set at $19,500. He bonded out shortly after."
