The Family and friends of Acadiana resident Josh Taylor have come together to help him regain his sight by raising funds for a procedure, and they're asking for your help.

From the families giveitforward.com page :

"Anyone who knows Josh knows he has a hard shell, but once you come to know him theres much more. He is a dedicated worker who works harder than anyone you know. Hes funny and always helped those around him in ways that can never be repaid. So here we are family and friends ready to help Josh in his time of need.

When Josh's vision became an issue concerning his ability to work, he went through a series of doctors appointments mainly out of Houston with various specialists trying to pinpoint what the cause was in order to be treated. With few symptoms connected to any disease, the appointments came to a standstill.

He has been having issues with his vision for years and recently, in a matter of a few weeks the majority was lost. In order to do the hands on work he needs his vision and therefore needs the procedure that will hopefully bring it back to him. Diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy, Josh became a candidate for a procedure called stem cell rejuvenation. He will be undergoing the procedure in Arizona that will use stem cells from his own body to restore his vision. Although it may not be fully restored, any vision, even just enough to be able to work and continue life as he is accustomed to is great! And that is what we hope for. Help us make this procedure happen!"
