Drew Brees Tweets Comparing Bountygate To WMD’s

Yesterday we showed you the supposed bountygate 'evidence' that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell released to the NFLPA and the media. Well, New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees took to Twitter to express his feelings about the whole 'evidence' situation. Read what he had to tweet about after the jump.

Brees compares the NFL's evidence on the Bountygate scandal to the whole George W. Bush WMD fiasco.

Later, Brees apologized via Twitter about his comment.

I was actually kind of shocked to see Brees tweet this, but it didn;t offend me whatsoever. As a die-hard Saints fan, I stand by Brees and fully understand his reaction to the NFL's 'evidence'.

To make things look worse, Yahoo Sports wrote an article making Brees look like a horrible person. Some Yahoo sports writers have been known to write horrible stories on the New Orleans Saints in the past. You can read that article here.
