Dexter Manley Calls Troy Aikman A “Queer” On the Radio (Audio)
Former Washington Redskins defensive lineman Dexter Manley has been a frequent guest on WTOP radio in Washington, D.C. after Redskins games.
He won't be doing it any longer.
The Washington Post was the first to report Manley, when asked about listening to Troy Aikman do color commentary for FOX Sports in the Redskins/Broncos game, said, bluntly, "I think Troy was a queer."
Needless to say that didn't go over well. The host of the show immediately called Manley out for his comment and Manley, after first saying he wouldn't apologize, finally did...but it was too late.
A tweet from the station's vice president said Manley would not appear on the station again.
