Dennis Quaid Cast As Major Character In ‘Katrina: American Crime Story’
Dennis Quaid will be playing the role of former President George W. Bush in the upcoming anthology series.
Quaid joins the likes of Academy Award nominee Annette Bening as former Governor Kathleen Blanco, and Ferris Bueller himself, Matthew Broderick as former FEMA director Michael D. Brown.
The first season of American Crime Story told of the murder trial of O.J. Simpson. The next in the anthology series will focus on Hurricane Katrina, and it's aftermath. What went right, and, more importantly what went wrong in the handling of the situation from local government, and obviously from the casting of Dennis Quaid, all the way to the presidency.
Dennis Quaid has roles dating back to the 70's. He's starred in the classic Innerspace with Meg Ryan (whom he later married), and Martin Short. He went on to play Jerry Lee Lewis in Great Balls Of Fire!, Doc Holliday opposite Kevin Costner in Wyatt Earp, the Parent Trap remake, The Day After Tomorrow, and many more.
