Clutch Joined By The Sword For Second Leg Of 2013 North American Tour
Clutch are doing their best to make sure that the entire Earth is rocked by their 'Earth Rocker' album. The group just added a second leg of North American dates in support of their upcoming release.
The May trek finds Lionize sticking around for another batch of shows, while The Sword will take over as primary support, replacing Orange Goblin from the first leg of shows in March. The trek launches May 1 in Richmond, Va., and runs through the band's May 25 appearance at Houston's House of Blues. Pre-sale tickets for fan club members begin Wednesday (Feb. 27) here, with general public on-sale dates to follow this Friday and Saturday (March 1 and 2).
Clutch will issue their latest album, 'Earth Rocker,' on March 19. In our upcoming feature with frontman Neil Fallon, the singer says of the new disc, "I think the first songs we started writing after 'Strange Cousins' were faster, and I think we realized we liked that. It seemed fresh to our ears so we were like, 'This next record let's just not overthink it, but write a very fast for Clutch record and one that was sufficient and cut right to the chase.' That was really the only kind of forethought we had going into the studio."
The more upbeat and tonally lighter album has already spawned the rocking title track, which is serving as the lead single. The 'Earth Rocker' album is currently available for pre-order here.
