Children Found Living In Bus While Parents Are In Jail

Texas authorities recently discovered 2 kids living in a broken down school bus while their parents are in jail. Thanks to a caring postal worker, two Texas children who were living alone in an abandoned bus, are now being properly cared for.

The siblings, a five year old boy and an 11 year old girl had been living in the bus for months. Their parents have been behind bars for roughly one year on embezzlement charges.

According to FOX News, the parents believed the kids were being cared for by an aunt, but the unidentified woman claims she could not keep up with the job.  Apparently the bus did have hot and cold water, a toilet and heat.  That being said, neighbors say the children looked dirty and were often seen running around at night.  Okay, but these neighbors never reported this to anyone?

Father of the children, Mark Shorten, is set to be released next month.  There is no word if he will get his children back upon his release.
